1. What these terms cover

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of NourishKit — the app and website for household meal planning. By creating an account or using NourishKit you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use NourishKit.

2. Your account and your household

• You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details and for keeping your password safe.
• A household account is shared with the people you invite. You are responsible for what members of your household do with it, so only invite people you trust.
• One person, one account. Sharing logins or creating accounts for other people without permission is not allowed.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use NourishKit to:

• break the law;
• try to access another user's or household's data — including through guessed URLs, exposed API routes, or any other means;
• scrape, crawl, or bulk-extract the service or its data;
• disrupt, overload, or interfere with the service or its providers.

We may suspend or terminate access to accounts that breach these Terms or that appear to be harming other users, the service, or its providers.

4. Content you add

Recipes, plans, pantry and grocery data, logs, and other content you add to NourishKit remain yours. You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display that content so we can run the service for you — for example, to build grocery lists or generate insights from the data you logged. You confirm you have the right to share anything you add.

5. Health and nutrition information

NourishKit is a planning tool, not a medical provider. Nutrition figures, wellness insights, and the Nourish score are estimates calculated from the data you enter — they are not medical advice and are not a diagnosis.

• Allergen screening works from the ingredient lists you have entered. It can be wrong — ingredients change, labels differ, and recipes can be incomplete. Always double-check packaging labels, especially for people with serious allergies.
• If you have a health condition or dietary requirement that matters medically, consult a qualified professional.

6. AI features

Chef Nour and other AI-assisted features generate suggestions automatically. Coach notes on your Insights pages combine our team's best-practice guidance with AI-generated suggestions — they are not personalized advice from a nutritionist. AI can make mistakes — in ingredient substitutions, nutrition figures, or anything else. Verify anything allergy- or health-related before relying on it.

7. Third-party services

Where NourishKit links out to third-party services — including Instacart, which hosts the shopping pages and checkout — that part of the experience is governed by the third party's own terms and privacy policy. When you order through an Instacart link, the transaction is with Instacart, not with NourishKit. We are not responsible for orders, fulfilment, refunds, or retailer availability.

8. Paid features

Some features may be paid ("The Table"). When they are, payment is processed by our payment provider and governed by their terms. Fees are non-refundable except where the law requires a refund. We may change prices or features with notice where the law requires it.

9. Deleting your data

You can download a copy of your household's data at any time (Account → Your data) and delete your account and its data permanently from the same place. See the Privacy Policy for how long data is kept and what happens on deletion.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

NourishKit is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, NourishKit and its team are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for decisions you make (or don't make) based on estimates, AI output, or allergen screening within the app. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version. Continuing to use NourishKit after a change means you accept the updated Terms. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app.
